Man Charged in Alpena With Using ‘Fraudulent Checks’ at Alpena Area Credit Union
Alpena, Mich.- A Carp Lake man has been charged with using bad checks in two counties including Alpena. According to Michigan State Police, 36–year–old Joseph Murray cashed in over $4,000 in fraudulent checks at an Alpena Area Credit Union.
The Alpena County Prosecutor’s Office issued a felony warrant charging Murray with two counts of uttering and publishing. Murray was arraigned in the 88th District Court last month.
Murray was also charged in Emmet County with one count of uttering and publishing and one count of forgery back in November.
