Local credit union has ribbon cutting ceremony
ALPENA, Mich. — Wednesday marked the official grand opening for Northland Area Federal Credit Union. The community enjoyed food, games, music, as well as the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Northland has been open for business for months but today they were able to celebrate their new digs.
They unveiled the Veterans Memorial where Congressman Jack Bergman said a few words. Other supporters were people from the community as well as guest speakers which included a representative from Senator Gary Peter’s office.
Northland began in Oscoda at Wurtsmith Airforce Base and today this memorial was given to the new location to honor the Veterans and their legacy.
