LIVE at 10:30: Gov. Whitmer to provide update on COVID-19

LANSING, Mich. — Today at 10:30 a.m., Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Department of Health and Human Services Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun will provide an update on the state’s response to COVID-19, and continued efforts to slow the spread of the virus.

The governor announced Monday, May 11 that 55% of Michiganders have received their first dose of the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine. The announcement marks the first milestone of the ‘MI Vacc to Normal’ plan, which would enable in-person work to resume across all employment sectors on May 24.
