Lady Vikings move to 11-0 with a home win against Rogers City 39-19

POSEN, MI – The Posen Vikings girls basketball team has yet to take a loss so far this season. With their record currently at 10–0, they hosted another North Star League match against Rogers City. The Hurons bounced back after their loss to Onaway with a win against Atlanta last Monday, so they would look to finally shut down the Vikings with another win tonight.

Early on both teams would keep this game low scoring with solid defensive play, but as it went on, one team would pull away quickly. First up Rogers City with it. Kaitlin Nowicki makes a pass over to Alivia Freel wide open in the paint and the Freshman makes the easy layup.

Now Posen with the ball. Faith Cousins sets it up for Ella Szatkowski who gets takes a jumper with multiple defenders around her, but she still gets it to fall.

That pairing from Posen would produce a lot from the field tonight. Cousins back to Szatkowski once again and she’s got the space to make a play for another close range jumper.

Rogers City moving the ball around, Sophie Romel gets the ball in the corner. She tries from three-point range and she drains that one for the Hurons.

Now Posen moving it around. In the corner for the Vikings this time is Makayla Kamyszek from mid range. She takes a shot and nails it for two points.

Cousins again is going to find Szatkowski in the paint to get another two points for Posen.

The Vikings would keep a steady lead ahead of Rogers City almost all night as Szatkowski once again makes the play down low for Posen to wrap this game up.

Posen continues their undefeated streak with a win at home against the Hurons. final score is 39–19. The Vikings will travel to face Whittemore Prescott on Monday while the Hurons get a home matchup against Hillman on Monday.
