Insights into Northeast Michigan: A Look at Climate Change

WBKB’s Mike Beiermeister takes a look at one of the biggest issues facing the world and how it’s affecting Michigan and the Great Lakes. He chats with Kate Madigan who is Chair of the Michigan Action Climate Network, Brent Lofgren, a NOAA researcher at the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory, and Stephanie Gandulla of the NOAA Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Part 1 looks at defining climate change and some of its possible impacts on Michigan. Part 2 explores climate change and the Great Lakes. Part 2 also introduces potential impacts on shipwrecks along with how people talk about it in a non-dividing manner. Part 3 continues that conversation.
