In-home vaccinations available to caregivers
ALPENA, Mich. — Great news for Northern Michigan caregivers finding it difficult to get vaccinated.
Meijer Pharmacy and Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan announced a partnership to vaccinate those homebound and disabled.
Many caregivers face different situations preventing them from receiving vaccinations. Care Coach Maura Horton said during the pandemic resources for caregivers shut down. This made it difficult for them to find fill–ins while attempting to receive vaccinations.
Horton explained the risk elderly and disabled people face when other’s decide against vaccinations.
