Huron Shore Babe Ruth Little League Ends in Dramatic Fashion

The Alpena Huron Shore Babe Ruth Little League came to an end on Saturday, June 23rd and the 9-10 year-old baseball division ended in dramatic fashion.
The championship game matched up John’s Electric in blue against First Federal in green. The boys in green took an early 5-2 lead.
The boys in blue fought back in the fifth starting with Owen Kaiser. He hit a pop up that dropped scoring Aiden Olson. Then Jack Krawchak slammed another pop fly that hit the dirt for a 2 RBI tying the ball game.
Still in the fifth inning, Carter Koproski hit a deep shot to the outfield and Krawchak runs in the go-ahead for John’s Electric. The boys in blue add some cushion to their lead when Troy MacArthur hit a grounder past second, sending Cruz Guthrie home for the 7-5 lead.
John’s Electric would hold off First Federal in the sixth inning taking the championship victory 7-5.
