Hunter Harvest for Charity held their 41st Annual Men’s Night Out Charity Banquet

This weekend at the A-Plex in Alpena, the Hunters Harvest for Charity held their annual banquet event for the year, Friday night, and it was a sold out crowd. Mark Boyke, President of Hunters Harvest for Charity, said, “Well, this is our 41st Annual Men’s Night Out Hunters Harvest for Charity banquet. We did miss two years because of COVID, but now we’re back at it, we’re operating on eight cylinders tonight, and we’re ready to give money away.”

The charity event invited all hunters and outdoorsmen from the local area and gave everyone a chance to win a raffle with guns, tree stands and other fun things any guy could want, and even included tasty wild game for dinner. Boyke said, “We sold 550 tickets, that’s a sellout crowd. It’s a good problem to have. We do a great job with the evening dinner, the raffle surprises, and I think that helps us sell out every year plus where we give the money.” He said, “You know, it’s local charities, individuals that have accidents, illnesses, so that’s what we’re trying to do is give those people a shot in the arm.”

With every year continuing to sell out and grow, businesses and other companies want to be included in the great event because of how much money it raises for local charities and those in need of some help. Boyke said, “I’ll tell you what, it’s awesome because even our sponsor list is growing, so what is that say? They believe in what we’re doing, and it’s just a great way to come together for the community to help people that are less fortunate in our community.” He said, “So it’s a great feeling to see people bring their hard earned cash here and spend it on buying raffle tickets, buying auction items, etc. All because you know it’s going to charity.”
