Hungry Howie’s returning to Alpena
ALPENA, Mich. – A familiar pizza joint is returning to Alpena.
Hungry Howie’s will reopen its doors in a new location.
Public records show owners applied for a building permit with plans to open the restaurant in a portion of the former Family Video building on Chisholm Street.
Hungry Howie’s closed in Alpena in 2014 after 20 years in business.
The company told WBKB in a statement “Franchised businesses are a part of a growing trend in the u–s having a positive impact on local communities like Alpena, by bringing jobs to the area.”
A representative from the City of Alpena told WBKB the building department has been getting a lot of calls from people inquiring about the reopening.
They say so far they haven’t received any information regarding an opening date.
