Hillman shuts down Posen on their home court 57-38

POSEN, MI – It was a matchup between the top teams in the North Star League Little Dipper conference. The undefeated Hillman Tigers hitting the road to face the 4–1 Posen Vikings. One of these two teams would have to pull ahead of the other and it was setting up to be a true battle.
From the start of this game, Hillman was all over the Vikings on defense. First up, right in the back corner for the Tigers is Trenton Taratuta. He tries for the corner three and gets it to go.
Now this game had a familiar sight all game long. a Hillman steal leading to some Hillman points. Taratuta makes the play on both ends to get the steal and layup for the Tigers.
Hillman with a fast break and the tigers passing it around the perimeter. Taratuta, once again, goes for a shot behind the arch and there’s another three-pointer for Trenton.
Posen tried to shrink the Hillman lead later in the first half. Posen tries for a corner three of their own. Ethan Soik puts it up and he drains the shot for the Vikings.
Hillman fast break, Caleby Hiveley flying up for the ball. He makes the grab and finishes the layup as the ball rolls around the rim then falls.
Landen Timm for Hillman gets the ball on the perimeter. Timm is gonna drive through the Posen defense. He gets wacked going up for the shot but sinks it anyway to pick up the and-one.
Taratuta moving up the court for the Tigers. he’s gonna send it to Brady Firman in the corner. Brady for three and there’s another Tigers three-pointer.
Landen Timm driving from the corner. He passes inside to Taratuta. He then gets tangled up and draws a foul and makes another shot for his own and-one.
Posen fought hard but the Hillman Tigers undefeated streak remains intact with another strong win. Final score is 57–38. Hillman will look for win number seven on the year Monday when they face Fairview. Posen will be back home on Tuesday taking on Au Gres–Sims.
