ALPENA, Mich. — The Hillman band has been practicing since January for their performance at this Thursday at the Tigers Game.
Band Teacher Ben Witter is extremely excited about the band performing and said, “I really appreciate the support of the community and the administration and my school staff to support us in this endeavor and to donate money and time to make this happen for our students is really special.”
Band Member Agnese has been working hard and said, “Honestly it’s just making the memories with all of us we have worked so hard as a team so it’s really great to make those memories at the tigers game and play there we’ll all have a story to tell later in life.”
The band will be performing the national anthem and they all are extremely excited. Band Member Ava has been practicing everyday and said, “Probably the memories and the experience because it’s a once in a lifetime experience to have.”
The band has been practicing everyday and is perfecting their music.
“We definitely got a second chance because COVID took away our last one,” said Hailee, another member of the band. “We were invited back and I think we play better than ever.”
The band will get a chance to show the world all of the hard work and dedication they have had this Thursday.
