Presque Isle — People from all over northeast Michigan will gather to honor the late State Representative of the 106th district, Peter Pettalia.

The representative was killed in a motorcycle accident on his way to Lansing back in 2016. A stretch of US-23 will officially be dedicated to Pettalia, spanning from Maple Drive to the Misiak Highway. The ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the corner of Maple Drive and US-23.

State Senator Jim Stamas and current State Representative Sue Allor will be in attendance.
