Former Wal-Mart Employee Sentencing For Stealing Nude Photos
When a woman asked a Wal–Mart employee for assistance in setting up the new phone she had purchased from the store, she got more than she was bargaining for.
During the transporting of data from her old phone to her new phone, the employee, Raleigh Fletcher Carter III, took it upon himself to look at the content being transferred.
Ed Black, Alpena County prosecutor said of the photos, “they were not things you would want to have disseminated. He took those pictures, transferred them to himself on a different electronic device, and then attempted to contact her through a false name to try and solicit her for additional pictures and or a date.”
The suspect pled guilty to the five–year felony, and was sentenced on November 21st to probation. As he had no prior criminal record, the suspect’s sentencing did not include incarceration, but if he violates the terms of his probation he can spend up to a year in county jail.
