Former Alpena County Official Charged with Embezzlement has Case Postponed
Alpena – Bradley Alan Avery will be back in court in the coming months on accusations of taking funds from the Alpena Agricultural Society and the Future Farmers of America.
Avery is thought to have taken funds from both organizations while he served as Fair board Chair.
The former Alpena County official was charged with 3 counts of embezzlement, with the highest amount taken being between 20 and 50 thousand dollars. He is also charged with 3 counts of illegal use of a financial device.
Avery’s attorney says the facts regarding the case are still being collected. He is currently out on bond.
