Firefighters respond to small fire at Decorative Panels International
ALPENA, Mich.– Firefighters responded to a small fire at decorative panel industries Saturday evening.
According to a press release from the Alpena City Fire Department, an Alpena police officer requested a response when he saw smoke coming from the facility. They received the request at 7:25 p.m. and found several plant employees working to extinguish stacks of defective, non–compressed hardboard.
Firefighters helped the personnel get the fire under control and departed at 8:00 P.M.
Nobody was hurt and no structures were damaged.
