Double shooting in Oscoda Township under investigation

Oscoda, Mich — According to the Oscoda Township Police Department, 37-year-old Rickie Lynn Cheatum Jr. of Oscoda was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head on Florida Street. Police responded to the call around 11:30 Thursday morning.
Cheatum was apparently shot by his 31–year–old roommate.
The alleged shooter was found unconscious on the floor from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and has been transported downstate for treatment.
Witness say there was a verbal altercation that led up to the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
