Detroit News names Alpena student a 2020 Outstanding Graduate
ALPENA, Mich. — As she nears the end of her high school career, Lindsay Syma from Alpena is being recognized for her dedication to education. The Detroit News has named her one of their Outstanding Graduates of 2020.
While attending Alpena High School, she managed to make the honor role for all four years and will finish with a GPA of 4.047. She has shown academic excellence in AP language and composition, college prep writing, chemistry and economics. Lindsay has also given back to her community by working with students with autism in the Peer to Peer program as well as volunteering for seven months at one of our local assisted living facilities.
She plans to attend Saginaw Valley State University where she will be a Freshman Direct Admit Student for nursing.
