Day 4, court plays recorded tapes of Nathaniel Ballard
Harrisville, Mich. – Today, the jury will determine if Nathaniel Ballard is innocent or guilty for the murder of Patricia Leeper.
Jurors have been listening to witness accounts all morning and evening in this 5–day trial.
THURSDAY, OCT. 18:
Twenty-four hours leading into the final verdict, the court played recorded phone and visitation conversations of Nathaniel Ballard in 2016 from Alpena County Jail.
Many questions and cross–examination focused on those tapes secured from the jail.
Nicole Davidson, Ballard’s 24-year-old Daughter, spoke on her estranged relationship with her mother, Jessica Davidson, who previously testified in court Wednesday.
Lawyers also examined Andrea Varner’s current romantic relationship with the defendant.
WBKB will sit in on the last day of testimonies before jurors decide on Nathaniel Ballard’s fate.
