COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Alpena Fairgrounds
ALPENA, Mich. — There are plenty of opportunities to strengthen your immunity or get your first jab this month.
Honu Management Group has weekly testing and vaccination clinics throughout December.
You can drive in at the Alpena County Fairgrounds on Wednesdays between 10 and 3 for the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson shots.
You can also get a rapid or PCR test at thunder bay junior high every Saturday until December 18.
Cathy Goike of the local health department says vaccination is still our best tool in the fight against COVID–19.
“The Delta variant is still the most prevalent out there, and we know that vaccines provide the most protection. So, because we know that Delta is still the main one in our area right now, it’s very important to get the vaccine.”
You can also get a test at the Cheboygan knights of Columbus on Tuesdays from 10 to 3.
There’s no charge; just show up with your photo ID and insurance card, as well as your vaccine card if you’re getting a booster.
You can attend the vaccination clinic on the following dates:
December 1, 8, 15, 22, 29.
