COVID-19 case update for Thursday, May 28
LANSING, Mich. — Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun reported today that we continue to see reductions in COVID-19 cases across the state however there is variability in how the disease is spreading regionally.Â
The latest COVID-19 numbers released by District Health Departments No. 2 and 4 are reported as follows today:

The State of Michigan is reporting a total 56,014 confirmed cases and 5,372 deaths. Today there were 406 newly confirmed cases and 38 deaths. Statewide statistics are updated every day at 3 p.m. and can be found by visiting michigan.gov/coronavirus.
