Cool temperatures moving in tonight-Thursday

High temperatures today reached the upper 70s for most of Northeast Michigan, except middle 80s in Osocda and West Branch. A cold front moved through our area today, which kicked up some spotty showers in the afternoon. Following this cold front, winds will pick up out of the north tomorrow and bring cooler temperatures to our area.

Showers will continue over southeastern Michigan this evening. A weak storm system over Iowa will stay to our south. Over the next couple days, drier and cooler air from the northwest will move in.


Low temperatures tonight will cool to about 50 degrees near Lake Huron and middle 40s further inland. Partly cloudy skies are expected tomorrow afternoon with high temperatures near 71 degrees. Tomorrow night, temperatures will drop to the middle 40s, the coolest lows in our 7 day forecast.

High temperatures will reach the lower 70s tomorrow, then near 70 degrees Friday afternoon. Over the weekend, temperatures will warm, getting closer to normal for late-August. High temperatures will climb to the middle 70s on Saturday, then upper 70s Sunday.

Tomorrow will feel cooler with high temperatures in the lower 70s and a light breeze from the north. Low temperatures will drop to the middle 40s early Friday, then high temperatures will get close to 70 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Mostly sunny skies are expected Saturday with high temperatures near 73 degrees, and temperatures will get a few degrees warmer Sunday afternoon.
