Clear Lake State Park plans to renovate with $4.6 million in funds
Clear Lake State Park in Mount Morency County will receive over 4.6 million dollars in funds for park updates.
“Here at Clear Lake, the plan is to replace the old bathroom buildings. We also plan to make adjustments to our water and electrical distribution systems. The big improvement will be accessibility for the restrooms. The breakdowns with the water and sewer issues will be eliminated.” said Dave Dekett, Park Supervisor.
Dekett said the number of visitors continues to climb. “We have many miles of trails surrounding this area. The increase in campers every year has been significant. They really enjoy themselves out on the trails.”
The current grant, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, will support more than 100 projects. Later in the year, another round of state park grants will be announced.
