Cardinals look to keep their playoff hopes alive as they face Hillman on Game of the Week
HILLMAN, Mich. — Onaway (4-3) vs. Hillman (6-1) is the Game of the Week for Week 8. The Cardinals look to get back on track as they lost to Hale last week by a score of 28-20. With two weeks left to go in the regular season, Onaway looks to keep their playoff hopes alive. If they win their next two games, they will automatically qualify for districts.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are already in the postseason. Hillman is coming off a dominating 38-14 win over Pellston last Friday and they don’t plan on hitting the brakes. One of their goals this season is to host a district playoff game. With a win on Friday, Hillman will be a step closer to achieving that goal.
“We have to go out and play our game,” said Cody Allen. “Onaway is a very good team. We have to be prepared and stick to our assignment.”
Friday’s kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
