Annual Buck Pole Contest kicks off in Hillman
ALPENA, Mich.— The Hillman Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Traveling Buck Pole contest this Sunday, November 15. The contest will feature a weigh in, a 50–50 ticket raffle and a student bake sale.
Competitors will face off in a youth, women and men’s category for the title of heaviest buck. Participants are required to have correct identification that matches the tag number and each buck must be shot in the Hillman area.
The buck pole will begin at 9am at the Patchwood Plaza.
