Alpena’s Macy Schram Signs with ACC Softball
ALPENA, MI – Coming out of Alpena High School, Macy Schram signed her commitment to play softball for Coach Christin Sobeck and the Lady Lumberjacks on Monday.
Schram will join ACC’s softball program in the 2023-24 season. The catcher is already very familiar with Coach Sobeck and several of her new teammates. Coach Sobeck was Schram’s batting coach throughout her high school career and the senior also played on Sobeck’s Mystics softball team. “I’ve played with the girls before,” said Schram. “I know that we’ll mesh well together.”
Coach Sobeck has had her eye on Schram throughout the years. The transition from Alpena High School to ACC will be a smooth one for both Schram and Sobeck. “We’re excited to have Macy on the Lumberjack staff,” said Sobeck. “She is a great catcher with a dominant arm and her versatility is a bonus.”
Congratulations to Macy on continuing her athletic career at ACC, and we look forward to seeing her out on the field as a Lady Lumberjack next season.
