Alpena soccer improves system against Sault Ste. Marie

Alpena — The Wildcats boys soccer team improved to a (3-2) record after taking down Sault Ste. Marie in a battle that ended early 8-0. Senior Aidan Day led the charge with 4 goals and Grant Botha scored 2.

“It’s always amazing scoring four goals, plus teammates got other ones too. I had a couple of assists too,” said Day. “Assists for me are just as good as goals.”

Head Coach Tim Storch is trusting his team with new techniques to better the Wildcats and is trying to figure out a good system that works well with his play-makers.

“You’ve got to manufacture some other pieces for that system that aren’t natural,” said Storch. “We’re working on that.”
