Alpena man arraigned after allegedly stealing from Verizon store

ALPENA, Mich. — A man was arraigned in Alpena this week and is facing charges after allegedly breaking in and stealing from a Verizon store.

In August, an employee discovered several phones meant for display were missing. In September, a state trooper pulled over a vehicle in Wilson Township for speeding. Inside was 19-year-old Cameron Daoust. He was then arrested for two outstanding warrants and other charges resulting from the traffic stop. Searching the vehicle, troopers found several cell phones from the Verizon store.

Daoust faces two charges, Breaking and Entering a Building with Intent, and one count of Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property $1,000 or more, but less than $20,000.
