Alpena HS Senior Elijah Allen Commits to Alpena CC

ALPENA, MI- Alpena CC cross country Head Coach Mark Jacobs prioritizes local talent. On Friday he secured the commitment of one of the best runners in the area.

Elijah Allen, a senior at Alpena High School announced his commitment to join the Lumberjacks Cross Country program. Allen, whos father ran at ACC and is friends with coach Jacobs was enthusiastic about his signing. “I chose ACC because of my relationship with the coach and know a few guys on the team. I just enjoy running” said Allen.

Jacobs was also excited about the idea of a local kid staying home. “It absolutely thrills me that I am keeping the local kids. I’d hate to lose a runner like him.”
