Alpena Hockey Rolls Over Unbeaten Cadillac

ALPENA, MI- Cadillac hockey has entered and left every arena they have walked into this season unbeaten. The Alpena Wildcats made sure that Northern Lights Arena was not added to that list.

The Wildcats got rolling early with a goal by senior Cam Young and they did not look back as the rolled to a 7-1 victory.

The Wildcats saw six different skaters find the back of the net. Captain Anden Marceau scored twice on the night, both of which were short handed.

Alpena out shot Cadillac 38-12.

Head Coach Ben Henry praised his teams effort after the win. ” We played well. The forecheck was really good and we played fast and did not stop. It is hard to play in front of our fans. They are so good and we don’t want to let them down.  But the kids played hard and know what it takes to win.

Alpena also defeated Traverse City Central on Saturday by a final score of 4-1. Harrison Kaszubowski scored twice for the Wildcats. Aiden Schultz stopped 16 of 17 shots he faced.
