Alpena High School to hold FAFSA night for families

ALPENA, Mich. — We’re still in February, but the end of school year is approaching. For high school seniors who need to fill out college paperwork, the district is holding a FAFSA  night to help students and parents through the process.

Twelfth grade and 13th year early college families are encouraged to stop in. Staff from Alpena Public Schools and Alpena Community College will be in attendance to walk participants through the process. The district is requesting that students register for a FAFSA ID online ahead of the event.

Families should bring with them previous year federal 1040 tax forms for parents & student if completed, W-2 statements for parents & students, and if applicable,  disability income statements and child support paid/received.

There will be pizza provided, so there’s a little incentive for you to come out and complete your forms. The event is this upcoming Tuesday,     February 11 at Alpena High School.

It will be in the B wing megatronics computer lab from 6 to 8 p.m.
