Alpena Boys Basketball Takes Down Brimley at Little Caesars Arena
DETROIT, MI- This past Sunday night, Lebron James played basketball on a basketball court in Detroit. The Alpena boys basketball just got to play on that same court in Detroit just five days later.
Taking on Brimley, the Alpena Wildcats led wire to wire, fending off multiple Brimley second half runs and grabbed their first win of the season by a final score of 65-51.
It was a physical game down low, with Colt Gray and Brady Kollen leading in that department. Tucker Bright and Easton Srebnik paced the offense from the perimeter.
It was more than a game for the boys, as they played on a floor that they have watched so many basketball legends play on before them.
” This is something that they are going to remember for the rest of their lives.” said Head Coach John Pintar.
” Just being out there and taking it all night was special” said Tucker Bright.
The Wildcats return to the court on Monday night, when they host undefeated Hillman.
