Alpena Basketball Prepares for Trip to Detroit
ALPENA, MI- The Alpena boys and girls basketball teams will each get a chance to play at Little Caesars Arena, home of the Detroit Pistons.
The games take place on December 16, the boys will be taking on Brimley while the girls will be taking on Tawas. The games take place before a Pistons home game, which both teams will be able to attend.
” As a Pistons fan its a great opportunity to play on their court.” said Colt Gray.
Alpena high school is also providing a bus for fans who would like to attend. Those interested in doing so can sign up by contacting Head Coaches John Pintar and Laura Dubey or the Alpena athletic department.
This is not the first time Alpena has played in Detroit, some of the girls got to visit as fans the last time the Wildcats made a visit.
” I remember going to watch with my friends in 8th grade.” said Avery Dubey, a captain of the Wildcats.
