AHS students enjoy morning treat
ALPENA, Mich. — We all hate Mondays, but at least the students at Alpena High School got to start their week with a sweet treat.
Students from the “Kids and Parents United Together,” or, “KAPUT” pulled together assistance from multiple local businesses to give their classmates a morning boost. AHS students and faculty enjoyed piping–hot pastries, hot cocoa, and cider.
Kaput organized the event to make up for a previous program they canceled after violent threats against the school earlier this month.
Communications Director Lee Fitzpatrick said it was a great way to end 2021.
“We all know that our students and staff have had a very challenging fall. So this was a nice reward for all our folks in the building.”
Prize donors included Cabin Creek, ‘s, the APlex, and many others.
Fitzpatrick said he’s grateful for their contributions.
