AHC hands out at-home tests, more on way
ALPENA, Mich. — The Alcona Health Center in Alpena distributed more than 100 free test kits on Friday morning. People flowed in and out the doors between 9 AM and noon to get their hands on those hard–to–find at–home COVID–19 tests. The event was part of AHC’s month–long “Fight COVID Together Plan,” which also includes vaccinations, booster shots, and mask distribution.
If you missed the chance to stop by, don’t worry. Community Outreach Manager Malinda Amlotte says they’ve got more tests on the way.
“We will be getting a substantial number. So we may run out today, but we’re not worried about running out in the future. That next shipment’s quite large. And we’ll be working with community agencies to help distribute them.”
