911 emergency lines working again after statewide outage

ALPENA, Mich. — The Michigan State Police said all 911 emergency lines are working again following a statewide outage early this morning. Lt. Derrick Carroll with the Alpena Post said the lines went down shortly after 2 a.m. The exact cause of the outage is still being investigated confirmed Lt. Carroll. While the 911 system was down, MSP issued a statement advising that calls were being handled by working non-emergency phone lines.
