5th Down: Week Seven
As the weeks dwindle down for high school football, WBKB Sports travelled around the area to highlight this week’s games.
The Alcona Tigers (6-1) ended their undefeated record falling to the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines (6-1) with a final score of 50-34. The Tigers will go on the road to take on the Rogers City Hurons, while the Wolverines will take on the Hale Eagles.
The Rogers City Hurons (7-0) extended their winning streak with their 76-22 win over the Mio Thunderbolts (3-4). As the Hurons prepare for the Tigers, the Thunderbolts will face the Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals next Friday.
The Tawas Braves (2-5) visited Maple City to take on the Glen Lake Lakers (3-4). The Braves earned a dominating 44-14 win over the Lakers to continue their two game winning streak.
