4-D 2nd Street Dance Company’s Annual Dance Recital a Major Turnout

Yesterday, the 4-D Second Street Dance Company wrapped up their second night of dance with a line outside of the door at Alpena High School where family and friends came out to support dancers.

The dance company hosted their annual dance recital to showcase what their dancers have been working on all year long.

Girls ranging from 3 years old to 18 years old showed their family and friends all types of dances including jazz, hip hop, ballot, and tap.

Co–owner, Jenny Marceau said dance is important because it instills greatness within her dancers.

“Well I truly believe that dance skills builds confidence and poise and those are many life skills that you need along the way to face the challenges of life and i believe that dance gives you those two life skills,” Marceau said.

The dance company has over 170 dancers.

The company’s motto is poise and confidence achieved through dance.
