Zonta announces Woman of the Year on Wednesday
ALPENA, Mich.– The Zonta Club of Alpena has a big announcement this week.
On Wednesday night, the women’s organization announces their woman of the year.
The organization will name the honoree during their annual banquet at the APlex.
Member Laura Lancewicz says the club’s decision comes from community input.
“We actually take nominations from the community, [from] people who feel like someone has gone above and beyond in their volunteer efforts for our community and helping the people in need in our community.”
The Zonta Club is an international organization that advocates for human rights and gender equality.
