World AIDS Day: Health Department Raises Awareness on HIV and AIDS
Alpena, Mich.- This year marks the 30th Anniversary of World AIDS Day. The day brings awareness of HIV and AIDS on an international scale.
December 1st is the day where people around the world unite in the fight against HIV and AIDS and show support for those living with the disease and to remember those who died from aids.
According to the District Health Department #4 everyone should get tested at least once a year. Northeast Michigan has been identified as high risk for the potential spread of HIV infection due to drug abuse. That’s why the health department offers unique services.
