Wintry mix late tonight; Clearing tomorrow as mild temperatures continue

High temperatures today reached the middle and upper 30s with a light breeze out of the south at 5-10 mph helping to bring milder temperatures in Northeast Michigan. Areas of fog this morning lifted, a cloudy skies remained over our area.

Two areas of moisture are moving toward our area — an area of snow showers currently moving through the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin, and rain moving into Lower Michigan from Illinois, Indiana and Missouri. These will combine to bring areas of rain/snow/sleet tonight and tomorrow morning.

Overnight low temperatures will drop to the upper 20s to around 30 degrees. A mix of snow showers/sleet/freezing drizzle will move into Northeast Michigan after midnight, lasting through early tomorrow.

After some light wintry mix possible in the morning, skies will clear during the afternoon. High temperatures will reach around 40 degrees with a light breeze out of the southwest.

Skies will clear tomorrow afternoon as slightly warmer temperatures move into our area. Dry weather will then last through the weekend, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 30s to around 40 degrees. The next chance of flurries will move in with a cold front on Monday, and colder temperatures will follow for Monday and Tuesday.
