When can you expect a stimulus check?

ALPENA, Mich. — If you’re one of the many Americans eligible to receive the $1400 stimulus payment recently passed through a new COVID-19 relief package, you could see that payment very soon.

Those with their bank accounts on file with the Internal Revenue Services will receive their payments first because of direct deposit. Others will receive their payments in the mail in the form of checks or prepaid cards.

The payments are expected to reach about 90 percent of Americans. The time frame is similar to the last round of stimulus checks, which hit bank accounts three days after former President Trump signed them into law in December.

President Biden’s press secretary confirmed this information yesterday.

“This is of course just the first wave,” Psaki said. “Some people in the country will start seeing those direct deposits in their bank accounts this weekend and payments to eligible Americans will continue throughout the course of the next several weeks.”
