ALPENA, Mich. — The Playoffs for High School Football grow ever closer as week seven got underway.
The Alpena Wildcats Homecoming game unfortunately didn’t come with a win against Traverse City Central, losing 56-7. Oscoda’s winning ways continue after taking down Johannesburg-Lewiston at Jo-Burg. A high scoring second half would lead to the Owls winning 60-22. Tawas Area had a rough match against Grayling losing 52-6.
Moving to 8-man football, Posen and Hillman were back and forth throughout the night but it would be Hillman coming out on top 34-14, Alcona got the shutout victory against Forest Area 54-0, and finally the Onaway Cardinals got held to single digits by Central Lake as they lose 6-20.
