ALPENA, Mich. — With only a couple weeks remaining in the season, we get into our Week Eight matchups for High School Football.
Hillman and Whittemore-Prescott were in action and Hillman grabbed their fourth win in a row winning 36-14, Hale and Posen had a close matchup but Hale comes away winning 32-28 with only nine players total on their roster. Tawas Area was shutout by Kingsley 60-0, Rogers City ends Mio’s winning streak in a final of 36-28, Johannesburg just falls to Coleman by 12 points, 30-42, and Onaway loses by a single touchdown to Pellston 44-50.
Alpena also got their second win of the season, winning in overtime against Escanaba 26-20. Oscoda was not as high scoring as last week against Jo-Burg but still gets the win 18-12 against St. Ignace. Finally, Au-Gres Sims come out on top against Central Lake in a high scoring affair, finishing 74-46.
