Warm temperatures Wednesday; Showers late Wednesday to early Thursday

High temperatures today reached the middle 40s across much of the state, including 44 degrees in Alpena, 45 degrees in Saginaw and 46 degrees in Grand Rapids. Wednesday, light winds out of the south will bring warm temperatures, going into the lower 50s.

Our next incoming system is currently producing rain and snow showers over the northern Rockies. This will all travel eastward, and bring us chances of rain showers beginning Wednesday night and continuing Thursday morning. Clearing skies are expected late Thursday.

Low temperatures overnight will be in the lower 30s with mostly cloudy skies. Tomorrow will start with a mix of sun and clouds during the day. Afternoon highs will warm to about 53 degrees and light winds will come from the south at 5-10 mph. Skies will become cloudy in the evening and temperatures will be in the middle or lower 40s.

Wednesday will be noticeably warmer. Showers will move through late Wednesday and early Thursday. Winds will shift out of the north and that will bring cooler temperatures Thursday, highs will be in the middle 40s. Friday will be mostly sunny with highs in the lower 40s, a great day to enjoy the outdoors! Rain showers are in the forecast for most of Saturday.
