Walker Waives Preliminary Examination

Yesterday the man suspected of killing Young was bound over to the Circuit Court.
55-year-old Brenton Lee Walker waived his right to a preliminary examination on Tuesday, and is now scheduled to appear in Circuit Court on October 24th.
Walker is facing felony chargers of murder in the first degree, which is a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
He is also charged with two counts of felony firearm, which both hold automatic two year prison sentences, as well as felon is possession of a firearm, a five year sentence.
According to the August press release, Walker and Young were last seen together leaving the Cabin Bar and Grill in Onaway.
