Vikings extend winning streak to ten games

POSEN, Mich. — Thursday night featured a Presque Isle County showdown between the Posen Vikings and the Rogers City Hurons. For the first few minutes of the game, both teams were trading buckets. However, the Vikings surged ahead in the final minutes of the first quarter and never looked back.

The Vikings get the job done on their home court, beating the Hurons 46-27. With the victory, Posen extends their winning streak to 10 games.

Ella Szatkowski led the charge for the Vikings as she finished with 16 points. On the other end, Karissa Rabeau paced the Hurons with 14 points.

Both teams will have a couple days to prepare for their next games. Posen (10-1) returns to action on Mar. 16, where they will head to Mio for a meeting with the Thunderbolts (5-7). Rogers City (5-8) will look to snap a three-game losing skid on Tuesday as they’ll take on the Cheboygan Chiefs (3-3).
