Updates coming to Brown Trout Festival 2021
ALPENA, Mich. — The 47th annual Brown Trout Festival will look a little more like normal this year.
Both the big and small tent will return this year, along with live dueling pianos music from Friends Together in the big tent. The festival board is looking to plan as many activities as they safely can for this year’s event, including the festival’s very first car show.
“We’re trying to bring as many activities in that big tent as we can, safely,” says Peggy Donakowski, the festival president. “With the Michigan regulations; if they ease up, we’ll plan more.”
As for fishing, two new tournaments will be coming to the event. A “Youth on the Big Water” fishing tournament for kids and a three-day high stakes tournament, which is winner-takes-all.
