UIA reinstating work search requirements
LANSING Mich. — With Michigan’s economy improving, the Unemployment Insurance Agency is reinstating work search requirements for claimants.
The requirement was suspended in March 2020 to help Michiganders facing job loss due to the pandemic.
The work search requirements will be reinstated for claimants beginning May 30. Claimants must actively seek work and report at least one work search activity for the weeks they claim benefits.  Searches could include a job application, interview, job fair and more.
