U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division hiring additional staff

ALPENA, Mich –The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) will be hiring additional investigators and technicians.

The new investigators and additional technicians will conduct investigations to determine whether employers are in compliance with federal labor laws.

Technicians will be available to answer policy questions from employers and employees.

According to WHD Administrator, Cheryl Stanton, more than 60 million workers are eligible for relief making now the time investigators are needed most.

Stanton also said paid sick leave and other relief are now enforced under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
