Two students, one staff positive for COVID at Alcona High School
ALCONA, Mich. — Alcona Schools has been notified today of three positive cases, one staff member and two students, of COVID-19 at Alcona High School.
The district is in the process of informing students and staff required to quarantine. Confidentiality (or HIPAA/FERPA) laws prevent officials from providing any personally-identifying information to those impacted.
Alcona Community Schools is collaborating with the District Health Department No. 2 to ensure that all precautions have been taken to protect your child(ren). The district will continue to proceed with our other academic and extracurricular programming.
Please monitor your children for the onset of symptoms related to COVID-19, including fever, cough, difficulty breathing, headache, diarrhea, new fatigue, or loss of taste or smell. If you notice any change in your child’s health, please keep them home and call your regular medical provider.
